PowerPoint’s civil & ground works division was established due to our own need for small scale, high quality civil works in remote and difficult to access locations. Quite often these types of works are short duration works, therefore the ability to mobilise and demobilise swiftly and safely is paramount and this is where PowerPoint excel.
The civil and ground works division has allowed us to provide challenging turnkey solutions for clients such as British Waterways and The Environment Agency.
With many years of experience in all forms of construction related projects, our multi-skilled work force equipped with the latest tools and machinery provide a high quality, cost effective solution.
We have undertaken many unique challenges, with each one a fast and a proactive approach is often required to overcome the every day hurdles. Our continuous monitoring and reviewing of working methods has for instance lead us to develop an approach whereby at some locations where the access is difficult and conditions suitable, we install prefabricated stainless steel crump weirs instead of constructing them in concrete. This reduces the amount of materials we need to transport to and from site thus reducing the overall time spent onsite and the environmental impact. This simple but effective solution is just one example of the alternative approach that we can offer and our ability to deliver.
